Town Centre Securities Strengthens Team

September2017

Town Centre Securities (TCS), the leading Leeds and London based property and investment development company, is cementing its growth by announcing a series of new appointments within their asset management team.

Vanessa McIntosh and Chris Collins are the latest hires at TCS, who have joined the business this month taking up positions as asset managers within the rapidly expanding team.

The new appointments will be working alongside Helen Green and Alistair Smith, associate directors at TCS and responsible for completing the development and refurbishment of assets across the TCS portfolio.

To further add to the expertise of the team TCS are also currently being advised by investment consultant Matthew Coates who will assist in increasing its London portfolio, a key area for the business’s future growth plans.

Vanessa will be responsible for the retail portfolio at the Merrion Centre in Leeds (TCS’s largest asset). As part of her position she will be responsible for bringing new retailers into the centre as well as overseeing all improvements to the mall and the customer shopping experience.

Chris Collins will be managing a separate portfolio of TCS properties across the rest of the UK, focusing on ensuring the business is maximising income as well as the potential developments. Part of Chris’ role will be managing relationships with tenants and ensuring TCS continues to offer exceptional customer service.

Vanessa has joined TCS from the Environment Agency, where she managed the operational estate. She has also held positions in London, an area that TCS is increasing its portfolio and operations in. Whilst in the capital, Vanessa worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager for rail franchise company Abellio Greater Anglia and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Chris was previously a Commercial Property Surveyor in Northumberland for Arch Commercial Enterprise. He has also held similar roles with the Whitfield Group in Cambridge and Bruntwood in Manchester.

Vanessa McIntosh commented on her appointment, saying: “Leeds is my home town and taking up this position with TCS gives me the opportunity to work with a business that is doing a great deal to transform areas of the city. I grew up shopping in the Merrion Centre and am proud to be now working with the team as it continues to go from strength to strength and welcome some unique and exciting shops and restaurants.”

Chris Collins, said: “I am from Yorkshire originally and am very pleased to be moving back to God’s own county and taking up a new role with a dynamic company that is working on some interesting developments. I’m looking forward to getting to know the tenants and building strong relationships over the coming months.”

Edward Ziff, Chairman and Chief Executive of Town Centre Securities, said: “We are delighted to welcome Vanessa and Chris to the team here at TCS. The last 12 months have been a great success for the business, seeing the development of the Merrion Centre and our purchase of key assets on Vicar Lane in Leeds. Their experience and passion for Leeds will be an additional asset as we push to continue our growth.”

Last month TCS’ new Finance Director, Mark Dilley, took up his role with the business. The development company has also recently announced the expansion of its marketing function and further increase the head count in its asset team in the coming months.
