And to mark the two landmark occasions CitiPark is holding a Firework extravaganza on Wednesday, January 28 at the Merrion Centre and first direct Arena car park, located on Merrion Way.
Live music from 6pm will get customers and members of the public into the party spirit and entertainment will be provided by a host of performers including the Glow Bot and balloon twister.
Offers and discounts from leading shops within the Merrion Centre will also be handed out to lucky guests who attend the celebration, while limited free parking will be available between 6-7.30pm for those who register online.
Councillor Keith Wakefield, leader of Leeds City Council, will join CitiPark’s managing director Ben Ziff to cut a ribbon to mark the completion of refurbishment work at the car park, before a firework display choreographed to music and the spectacular light show on the car park’s frontage will be a stunning highlight of the event.
The CitiPark name change comes as its flagship branch at the Merrion Centre completes an extensive investment programme by the company’s owner, Town Centre Securities PLC.
State-of-the-art technology including ANPR systems, Pre-booking on arena nights, LED Lighting and pay as you park has been introduced at the car park, which serves Merrion Centre customers, the business community and visitors to the first direct arena and wider Arena Quarter.
