LSH reveals Glasgow expansion

July2016

National commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has revealed it is taking up new office space in the centre of Glasgow.

LSH has agreed a deal to lease a 4,763 sq ft office suite on the 5th floor at 33 Bothwell Street, which will become its new headquarters in the city.

It follows a recent announcement the company plans to double in size in Scotland. A move supported by the appointment of Craig Maguire as a new head of operations for Scotland covering both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The landlord, Town Centre Securities, has agreed a major refurbishment of the premises, which will include new ceilings, improved lighting and a new air conditioning system. LSH has agreed a rate of £18.00 per square foot for the 10-year deal, which includes a 5-year break clause.

“As the business continues to grow, so does our team in Scotland and the time was right to look for more suitable office space. Bothwell Street is a prime CBD location and the overall floor space and commitment by the landlord to renovate the suite makes it an ideal location for our new Glasgow HQ.”

– Neil McVicar, Head of Scotland

LSH expects to move into its new office space at 33 Bothwell Street in December when it will vacate its current Glasgow offices at 227 West George Street.

Alison Taylor of joint letting agents Bilfinger GVA commented: “Town Centre’s flexible and knowledgeable approach to dealing with occupiers undoubtedly helped secure a prestigious professional services occupier to the building.”

Bilfinger GVA and Phil Reid Associates acted for the landlord.
