DLG Architects Relocate To Town Centre House As Sustainability And Innovation Take Centre Stage

May2025

We are pleased to welcome leading architecture and master-planning practice DLG Architects to Town Centre House in Leeds city centre, following the successful completion of a comprehensive refurbishment of the building.

DLG Architects have taken 1,910 sq. ft. of high-quality, sustainable workspace at Town Centre House, located in the city’s newly defined Innovation District of Leeds city centre.

The move sees the award-winning practice relocate its Leeds-based team to a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ building designed to support collaborative, low-energy working environments.

The letting follows another recent agreement with strategic marketing agency Datum Group, who have taken 2,300 sq. ft. on the building’s fourth floor. Both deals highlight the growing demand for flexible, sustainable workspace in central Leeds, and mark continued momentum in the repositioning of Town Centre House as a prime destination for forward-thinking businesses.

Leeds Move to Champion Sustainable Development
DLG’s move supports its long-term commitment to sustainability, innovation, and regeneration. From its new Leeds base, the practice will continue working with major clients across the UK, including on landmark Build-to-Rent and city-centre regeneration masterplans such as SOYO at Quarry Hill, Leeds Urban Village and Sweet Street.

Andrew Gardner, Partner at DLG Architects, commented:

“Thanks to the continued support of our wonderful clients and some amazing continuing and new projects, we are excited to embark on this next chapter at our new city centre location. The new office offers an outstanding, low-energy and sustainability-focussed working environment with improved amenity and collaboration areas. We feel this move will allow us to continue to expand our services, enhance client relationships, foster a stronger team and is a great fit for our future ambitions.”

Embracing Design Principles in New Office Fit-Out
DLG’s fit-out aligns with the firm’s environmental ethos, adopting a circular economy approach that minimises waste by repurposing existing furniture and equipment – principles consistent with its award-winning retrofit work.

Matthew Wright, Associate Director at Town Centre Securities PLC, added:

“We’re delighted to welcome DLG Architects to Town Centre House. Their sustainability-led vision and track record in transformational development make them a perfect fit for our repositioned building. This letting, alongside our recent deal with Datum Group, is further proof that businesses value high-quality, energy-efficient spaces that support collaboration, wellbeing and growth.”

Town Centre House, owned and managed by TCS, has recently undergone a significant refurbishment to provide contemporary, energy-efficient workspace that meets the evolving needs of today’s occupiers.
