Leeds' newest leisure destination
The Arena Quarter is located in the heart of Leeds city centre at the Merrion Centre and incorporates Merrion Way. It is adjacent to the 13,500 capacity first direct arena (which plays host to a variety of high profile concerts, shows, corporate and sporting events).
This £17m project was started in 2012 to capitalise on the opening of the arena, with the northern side of the centre been completely transformed into a food and leisure hub.
In addition, the complete transformation of the multi-storey CitiPark car park and launch of the 134 bedroom ibis Styles Leeds City Centre Arena Hotel has ensured that the Arena Quarter has become a staple fixture on the Leeds landscape.
The scheme was fully let in early 2017 with further lettings to Bengal Brasserie, Hook & Line and Burger King.
The total cost of the retail refurbishment of the Arena Quarter has been £6.5m (part of the £17m). It offers high quality accommodation within an established leisure destination, which is set for even further dramatic transformation with plans announced for additional development within the area.
It compromises a total of 150,000 sq. ft of hotel, leisure and retail facilities, in addition to outdoor seating opportunities, public realm works and superb car parking provision.
